Cubs Memorable Moment of the Week

Starting this week, I will now be adding a new feature to A Girls Guide To Wrigley. This feature will contain my personal favorite Cubbie moment of the week and why I think it's so important. This new feature will be featured on Sundays, but I figured I would give a little preview tonight.

This weeks highlight: Cubs home advantage going into next week's NL division series. This great news followed Jason Marquis' grand slam.

The cubs perform better at home versus on the road.Having home field advantage will put the Cubs in a winning mind set. Plus, Cubs fans are excited that the first game will be in Chicago. The strong fan base in Chicago will hopefully push the Cubs to perform.

Many Cubs fans at the University of Iowa are so excited by this news that they are actually going back to Chicago to cheer on the Cubbies. Maybe I am thinking too far ahead but if the Cubs do make it to the World Series I definitely will want to go back to Chicago to support them.

Fellow Cubs fans: What are your thoughts? Is anyone going to head back to Chicago for the playoffs?

ASSIGNMENT - Which Cubs starting pitcher has the best chance of becoming a star during the playoffs, similar to Josh Beckett several years back with the Marlins and John Smoltz a decade ago in Atlanta? Zambrano, Dempster or Harden? And why?
